What is PSTET Exam?
Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) is a state-level exam conducted by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) to determine the eligibility of candidates for Primary (Classes 1 to 5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) level teachers in the schools of Punjab. The PS TET exam is conducted in two shifts for two papers – Paper 1 and 2. PS TET Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who want to become Classes 1-5 teachers and Paper 2 is for candidates who want to become teachers of Classes 6-8. Candidates who want to become Classes 1-8 teachers need to appear for both papers.
PSTET Eligibility 2021

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for the PS TET exam.
Paper 1: Candidates must be Class 12 passed with at least 50 per cent marks along with Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd)/ Diploma in Education (Special Education)/ Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd)
Paper 2: BA/ BSc pass with DElEd/ BEd/ BEIEd/ BA/BSc-Ed
PSTET Selection Process 2021
The PS TET selection process involves the following stages:
Release of PSTET notification: The PS TET examination or selection process begins with the release of official notification. The PS TET notification is available as a PDF file containing important details such as eligibility criteria, the application process, important dates, exam pattern, syllabus and others.
PSTET application form: The PS TET application form is released after the notification. Candidates need to fill the form online. For successful submission of the application form, candidates need to pay the application fee of INR 900 for each paper (INR 600 for SC/ST/PH).
PS TET admit card: The admit card is released around ten days prior to the exam. Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website and carry it to the exam centre on the day of the examination.
Conduct of exam: PS TET exam consists of two papers- Paper 1 and 2. In both papers, a total of 150 MCQs are asked of one mark each. The paper is of total 150 marks. There is no negative marking in the exam.
PS TET result: PS TET result is announced by the PSEB on the official website of the exam. Candidates scoring a minimum of 60 per cent marks in the written exam are declared as qualified.
PSTET Syllabus 2021
The PSTET Syllabus is prescribed by the PSEB. The PS TET syllabus carries for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The PS TET Paper 1 syllabus includes topics from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies and Paper 2 syllabus contains questions from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences.
